As far as gameplay goes it's a perfect continuation of system shock, However atmosphere of this game is unmatched by any game that it has inspired. It is much more of a spiritual sequel to this game than Bioshock ever was. However if this game proves to be too much. I prefer it still over games like Bioshock (and I played Bioshock first). But if you can handle somewhat dated controls the game is still absolutely amazing. For me personally the line of how old and clunky I can handle is somewhere between the two games. IMO with some graphical mods the game runs just fine. ![]() It all depends on what you grew up with and how much retro you can stomach. Second is a masterpiece, but that won't necessarily mean you will like it. Originally posted by ZylonBane:I don't know you, but I already hate you. Plus I don't have time to play everything plus I have a huge backlog plus I already own the second game and have to buy the first one.Īnd people say the second is the masterpiece if that's true and I can enjoy much more the second without knowing the first-one plot, to have more surprises, I prefer to enjoy more the masterpiece I do not play alone I decide games with my girlfriend and a friend we play separately and then comment the game.ĭo not think they can/want to play the first one if I try I'll lose them. Maybe with the enhanced edition would be better and I played more videogames and now maybe I'm better in understanding how to play. ![]() The interface and what was on screen was difficult to understand as well. Man, I tried the first one years ago it was clunky and couldn't understand much can't read English so well and it appeared full of difficult audio and texts.
